You are an Island
My heart beats into the night,
Like a wild black stallion,
Hoofs beating against the pavement,
The discriminating fog seeks me out,
And surrounds me like a wall of fear,
My eyes are blinded by the burning sun,
My enemy of day,
I can only hear you calling to me,
I swim in the waters of sharks,
I wear a shark mask,
They do not recognize me,
For it is easy to hide in a crowd,
You are an Island,
I fall like a wave into your shores,
And I am one with you.
